Where are interesting places to stay and visit in Panama?

Well Davidez that is a very general question. What is the purpose of your trip? How much money do you have? How old are you.. ?

The reason I'm asking all this is because Panama is a very diversed place. In general, I would recommend the Islands "Las Bocas" or "Boca Del Torro" which are located in the north. It's a beutiful group of islands where you can go and "chill", have drinks on the beach, etc. The lodgings are not so expensive and it is beutiful there. Highly recommended..

Thanks, I will be visiting Panama this winter for around 3 weeks. There is a possibility I might retire there. So trying to get a feel of the country as a whole.

Familiar with Bocas Del Toro (went there during my last visit to Costa Rica a couple  of years ago but what other areas would you recommend?
