Will I always have to take large doses of STEROIDS to help me with my COPD?

My Mom had COPD..........She always complained about the weight she would gain from medications.........They contained steroids....Unfortunately, its also hard to exercise when having COPD....Sorry to say, that COPD does not reverse itself.......

From what I know steroids are an important part of the treatment. Perhaps new drugs will come on the market or alternative treatments will prove to be successful.

Hope you feel better.

steriods...I'm not a doctor, but I know what steroids do to people, I really think this is masking the problem, not fixing it.
