Home improvement projects, "Get'er done."

You said nothing about the landlords reason. It matters.

What's the reason?  If you were a crappy tenant before you probably will be again so I don't blame him.  If not, there maybe there is a point to discuss.

I can't tell from your reply why he refused to return your security deposit.  Was the apartment dirty or needed work after you left?  Also, what did your lease cover as far as returning security deposits?  It sounds as if you are looking for just another reason to take him to court.  Why would you want to rent from him again?????  If he knows you are taking him to court and still refused to return your deposit, he must have a very good reason.  I wouldn't rent to you either!

Smile, it's contagious!

Nothing!  Landlord has the right to invite whomever they want on their property.  That also means that they have the right to exclude whomever they want from being on premesis.  Landlord's have rights, too, just as tennants do.  So, what is your beef?  Discrimination?  Take it to legal aid.  Otherwise you don't have a leg to stand on, fella.  Look for another apartment.
