hi, i have 2 kittens about 4-5 weeks old, i was told to deworm them and was given strongid. does anyone know what dose i give them? thanks, debbie

hi thanks for getting back to me,,, no i don't have the box, i was given the liquid from an rescue organization, i think she told me to give .25 cc. it is july 4 and nobodys' home to confirm. any info you have would be great! debbie
I did some online research and I found this answer:
I have a bottle of Strongid T and it says on it, Give 1cc per 22lbs, repeat in 12 days for heavy infestation. I have done both the dogs and the cat with it. Hope this helps...*S*

Kittens are not born with worms so first you have to see if they have any in their stools. If you see long worms in the stool they are round worms and you can use peperazine on kittens. use a 1/4 of a tespoon for under five pounds. repeat this after two week. I'm getting this off a bottle of peperazine. If the stools have what looks like pieces of rice it is tape worm, peperazine will not get rid of this parasite.You can get tape worm tabs at petsmart or on line at www.drfostersmith.com and follow the direction. don't over medicate that young of a kitten
