Israel has performed a surgical commando strike against Hezbolla strongholds deep within the lebanese territory. Natrually, the reason for this attack is confidential. However, some unofficial publications claim this operation was meant to prevent new Syrian weapons from reaching Hezbolla.
Israel's had two agendas with this operation. The first and obvioius one is to prevent Hezbolla from rearming and rebuilding its rocket array. The second agenda is to show the UN that if it will not work to enforce UNSC Resolution 1701 (Primarily wepons embargo), Israel would not hesitate to do so on itself.
