I have a Kawasaki kz 550 H2 / gpz when it idles it runs ok but when I turn the throtle it peaks at 5-6 thousand RPM's and wont come down. Before I cleaned the carburaters it did the same thing the carbs are Tk and the year of the bike is a 1983 I have the filter s off they are missing but have used temporary pods to run it just easy to work on that way and I know the could cause some problems but not to this extent. Like I said I cleaned the carbs it starts right up but than peaks to high RPM somtimes on it's own I have not syncronize them yet because it is so eratic. Is the problem the carbs or maybe something else please help, I am not a cycle mechanic but have done some weekend warrior stuff and this is a problem I have not run into but never had a 4 carb bike before so if you can help or have a sugestion all ar welcome
Thanks in advance!
Beer, now cheaper than gas! So drink, don't drive!
I'm not a mechanic but I'd suggest you contact one to find out if he/she can take a look and see what the problem is. Good luck.
