Try a little olive or vegetable oil. Also, maybe GooGone. Sounds like there was some type of product IN the jute that has left a residue. If there is any type of tag on the carpets where you could contact the manufacturer perhaps you can find out what that could be that is causing the discoloration. Try leaving the carpets off of the laminate floors for a while after using the oil. Also, maybe placing some protective matting (the type used to prevent skidding) between the carpets and the flooring may be helpful whether you ever can eliminate the marks or not. GOOD LUCK.
