What job studies life and every aspect of it?

what major should i do if i want to study life, who we are, where we came from and why we are here- i think i'm interested in a little bit of everything, i want something that deals with it all; sociology, psychology, philosophy, biology, anthropology, faith, i want something that deals with everything. i dont know what it is i want to actually do at the end point, but does anyone know any careers/jobs that deal with this? and if so, the steps needed to get there.

i want to analyze every aspect of the human life.

This will depend where your faith or lack of faith lies.  If you want to study creation or a faith based path, a religious course of studies will not only help support creation, but will show you reasons and examples as to why evolution isn't possible.  However, you could study evolution and they would do their best to provide science to support their theory and disprove faith based or the religious side.  Remember, you have to have faith that there is a creator or no faith and believe that this is all there is.  Good luck in your pursuit.

You might want to do some research on Sociology.  If I read your question correctly, you could focus on the spiritual aspect of human behavior.

This may sound a little strange, but journalism is the perfect profession if you want to observe, understand and explain the human condition. You get to see people at their best and worst, learn what makes them tick, and put their experiences in the context of a bigger world. A press pass gives you access to the powerful and powerless, and the privilege to tell other people's stories. Crime, punishment, forgiveness, redemption, faith, freedom, joy, despair -- a journalist is witness to all of these things. She's a cultural anthropologist, observer, investigator, psychologist, scientist, bullshit detector, storyteller and sense maker. If this sounds like you, then journalism is your calling.

Choose to make it a great day, my new Friend!

Lin,

I think Frank gave an excellent option, especially given your use of the work "analyze"...not study...not understand...not serve...pick apart, organize, and try to interpret.   If total involvement was an issue, not just the logical part you mention, and if your type of faith qualified you,  foreign/field missionary work utilizes all the things you & Frank mention, because you become totally involved in the life and lives and health and sociology, and philosopy, and theology, and etc. of the place in which you are working and the people you are serving and sharing life with...and you get to act and serve based on how good your analysis, adaptability, and creativity are...put action into the analysis to help other people.  It is all a matter of faith:  Faith in God and Creationism; or Faith in something coming from nothing and randomly changing into something as complex as the eye or the heart or neurons and nerve synapse...where did the thing that exploded come from in the "big bang" theory.  How did the goo that life supposedly sprang from come into being? Who or what created atoms, molecules, gravity and other forces, and all of the other inexplicable things that are the materials out of which "life" and all creation are made? How big is "big" and how small does "small" really get? We are still finding/seeing the influence of smaller sub-atomic particles and forces smaller and more basic than electrons.  We do not know very many answers or "facts". Scientists do not know. Whose "book" is correct...Darwin's, Newton's, God's "Book"...people of "the book"...??  It is all a matter of faith...ability to act/believe/feel comfortable or "safe" in/with something based on minimal "evidence".  I submit that there is more "evidence" in the existence of God and creationism than in "science" and it's accuracy at defining existant laws, forces, and entities. It is your choice what/who you put your faith in, and only dying and eternity will reveal the ultimate truth.  If the Bible really is the "Truth", where does that leave those who choose to ignore, deny, try to refute, it?  Alas, "to be or not to be [what?] that is the question."  It's not about continuing or ending existance...it is about Being and Living and "Faith" about what those are...in my personal observation and opinions.  I have a university degree in biology with minors in chemistry, sociology, and Germanic languages and personally I believe God created it and the laws to keep it running and to keep it changing so it will remain diverse and avoid going "blue blooded" and in-bred in the little, mainly closed loop systems, 'terrarium" in space in which we live.... and then went in to human relations training and personal development counseling...which we ALL need... to try and keep us from killing ourselves off and destroying His creation.  When left alone by man, the creation really does work quite amazingly well...and self heals from man's negative influences unless they get too extreme...as they seem to be doing now.  Peace in your search. I hope I have given you some "food for thought"...some mental "oxygen".  :)

Investing in Human Capital is the most rewarding; free-market utilization of Human Capital is the least expensive path to success.

Don't whine about problems without thinking of a free-market, economically rational, and socially pragmatic solution.

I'd suggest Philosophy with Sociology as a concurrent major.
