Im unemployed about 6 months, and Im getting bad luck finding work! It seems the employment agency i used checks my background or credit history. That could be the problem. Unfortunately I have an misdemeanor on my record because someone owed me money and that person try to pay me back with a bogus check so then now I get the blame for this incident even though I didnt even get any money from this stupid bank. I mean I just went to the actual bank just to cash it like nornally and they try to say its a fake check. , it clicked in my head after I showed my ID, my credit card, and sign and fingerprint my thumb on the check, that the goddam teller is telling me the person who check is from dont know me, I told her from the start that I dont know the actual person who name is written on the left top corner, the idiot that owed me said its his aunts check that sign the check to my name.
Now Im getting scared that Im taking the fall for this check when I didnt know that this is a bad check, so I asked to give the check back to me and they said hold on were verify the check, I was at the bank for about 15 mins now and I was like forget this I said I will be back to get the check then, so I left the bank upset about this crap and was very irate at the person who gave me this check, I was thinking Im gonna find where he is and bring him to the bank so he can explain. but I was unsuccessful tracking down the person he aint even answering his cell phone. I do not want this blamed on me when I didnt know about this. I also thought I didnt take any money from that bank anyhow so it was no problem. 2 1/2 months later there was an warrant out for me that I didnt even know. I was never arrested for any of this issue, police never talk to me , never came to my house , never spoke to me at all, but I did go to court when I got that letter. and when i did I found out that the bank is filing charges on me for forgery when I didnt even make that damn check. SO THE QUESTION IS CAN I STILL ERASE THIS FROM MY REPORT? at the time I was working fulltime and was on 3 month probation and I didnt want to interfier with my work, so i made a deal with NoContest. But I was later lay off anyway, stupid me I should of just went to trial instead. I was thinking if i went to trial at the time and if I was convicted I may of went to jail. I didnt want to lose my job. I had to do community service for 14 days or pay 1277 bucks plus pay a court fee fine of 211 bucks and 10 days in jail(when I went to surrender the sheriff said I can do caltrans instead 4 days) If anyone can help me out I would like to go to trial and prove my innocence. Cause I am not guilty. my public defender assigned me to investigator signature specialist and he said my handwriting does not match at all with the check.
