A. Determine NOW, if you (and family members) are insurable without restrictions that may be important to you. Because you are a non-group, your risk will be individually underwritten and subject to limits and exclusions.
B. Consider major carriers that have preventive care benefits that keep you in better health with lower premiums.
C. Ask your carrier agent if they provide a plan that is compliant with the new Federal HSA (health savings account) program. I suggest that you do a web search on HSA's and become familiar with what they can do for you. It can literally put thousands of dollars in your pocket every year!
