Hey, you're welcome.  I tried finding the total number if Jews during the time, and I'm just not sure.  I couldn't find a number.  I found that information on the web... how many were killed was a much easier number to find.  There is a lot of information on Wikipedia, but there I didn't see the full number of Jews.  Good luck.  I'm sure there are some good books that say this information.

Thanks for the answer, where did you find this information? Do we have an estimate of the total jewish population at the time?

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.

The question is very interesting and made me think. I typed "

Jewish casualties during the destruction of the second temple," on a search engine and found such a wide range of answers. I don't have an answer for you. Depending on your religions views, political views, etc. you can find an answer that suits you. I hope I don't sound sarcastic.
