Do you think the Jewish laws of divorce help the majority of women or harm the ethics of Jewish marriage? Where is this law found in scripture?

To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.

Since I am far from an expert when it comes to Jewish law, here are two web sites that offer an insight regarding women and divorce. IMHO woman get a raw deal.

Thank-you for the links.

I personally don't think it can be compared to secular pre-nups, which are more about money.

Judaism doesn't favor divorce. I just wasn't sure where the slant began. The exceptions seem fair(ie-conditional gets).  I don't understand what all the hoopla is about.

If there is any comparison to "What G-d has brought together, let no man tear apart" then it should be on the man. If people who get married aren't sure enough to start, why get married, again, under religious law, until they are at least certain enough they want to be married for life?

The exceptions make it cool, though I'm sure it's going to be controversial to a hateful extreme, once it hits YouTube, like everything else. I hope I'm wrong but some people like to sensationalize rare exceptions without having all the facts, no matter who gets hurt as a result.

I see another agenda behind this nonsense.

Take care.

Its Jewish religion.

Your country have laws. The same laws that apply to everyone.

You choose to be a Jew in religion. Check with a Rabbi. This is a religion question not a legal question as a divorce legally is meant to be fair and impartial to all parties involves

Hope this helps
