How to iron silk?

Twice already I burnt a hole trough my silk dresses. People say to iron silk you need to do it in low heat inside out. For some reason it doesn't work for me , I set mine on the lowest heat and it keeps on burning it . I got a beautiful dress now that I want to iron. I need suggestions on how to iron a silk dress without harming it?

It seems that you did everything "by the book" ,did you follow the advice to press silk while it is still damp with a warm iron (below 275 degrees)?

Use Laurastar Magic i-S5 with the one temperature setting. You dont have to worry about burning your silk. Call Jin at 016-3461612

I have a beautiful Silk dress with a kind of tool fabric over it, and I need all of the wirnkles out of it. Because I have a compitition on monday and all of the dry cleaners are closed on sunday. I NEED HELP! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!
