I wouldn't wanna be in a club that wouldn't let me in...

I have been in a long distance relationship and I believe that the only reason why it worked was because we were so in love.  I think that it didn't matter whether we were talking on the phone or whether we were with one another, we still had a very strong connection.  I think having a long-distance relationship from the beginning isn't the best idea, but if you want to try to continue something that you have already begun, then it's worth trying.  As far as how to make it work, it takes creativity.  It takes learning to love the phone, starting good conversations, being good conversationalists, surprising one another, a lot of visiting, sending packages, etc.  Basically, it takes a lot of effort.  All relationships take effort and a distance relationship will take even more effort.  Good luck, give it a try.... I would never let someone that I love slip away just because of distance.  It's not a good enough reason to let go of someone.

Maintain as much very regular contact as possible, especially by voice. These days it is realatively inexpensive to call long distance, even internationally. Email contact can be daily, and it is always wonderful to see that there's a message waiting in the in-box from a loved one. Save your money and travel half way, or all the way, to meet up from time to time. Occasionally send little gifts and reminders of you. However, up to a point, I do not believe that (long term) absence makes the heart grow fonder, usually.

Long distance relationships are hard to do and i believe the only way that they work out is if you both ppl are willing to do it and be faithful. I am in one right now and i know the only thing keeping us together is that we was together for 2 years before I moved away so we love each other very much and want to have a family with our 4 month old daughter. So yes they can work on certain sercamstances

With lots of trust and lots of love. First thing you need to be doing is to set up a particular time to communicate and set a specific time to see each other. It could be once a month, twice a month -- depending on your financial capability to see each other. But the most important thing is always opening your communication lines.

Sorry I don't speak Spanish, I'm Hawaiian.

I think that they could work if you two really love each other, but these days a person keeps those relationships long distance because they have other relationships closer. I was with a guy for 3 years before I found out he was having a "Long Distance Relationship" did find out until she moved to San Diego, CA from Ohio. Listen to your head and not always your heart. No fun getting hurt, less fun when you set yourself up for it. Be smart
