The normal small-bowel wall is thin, measuring between 1 and 2 mm.

There are several possible explanations for thickening of the small bowel, some relatively simple, some less so.

More than anything else, it's important that you get examined by a professional. Be careful not to get internet advice from people who are not medically trained, and who do not know you or your condition.
