What is the best online Contact management ...

What is the best online Contact management software that is free/opensource? I love gmail and hate their address system, is there a greasemonkey script to imporve this? Or is there another solution? I use Zoho too, and while they work ok, I want to integrate(obviously) with gmail, which this currently does not. I want comprehensive information on my contacts that is taggable and searchable, is this too much to ask?

hard to try something that is closed to beta testers! Are you associated with them? if so anyway to get in?
