I must say before that i cant compare it to other internet development frameworks, because internet is not my main business.
However, Python is truely best for rapid prototyping. Since it is an open source, u will probably find anything handy in the web, i.e. u can find libraries for any platform\ browser\ technology, and they will be instant to use.
