False alarm...or coming Great Depression?

On October 7, 2008, we warned “American capitalism has failed. What next?”  But in his March 24, 2009 news conference, President Obama stated, “We will recover from this recession.”  Which is true?

have long warned according to Scripture that because our nations have rejected the true God of the Bible and His Laws and Holydays, the United States, Britain and other descendants of ancient Jacob will decline and eventually be subjugated by a resurgent European superpower.
before the 9/11 terrorist attacks and well before our current global economic meltdown!
IN 1999 IT WAS SAID  “Things seem to be going along normally for most people. Although they hear about far-off bombings, earthquakes or storms, their daily lives remain largely unaffected. They are not shaken or terribly concerned about world events. The economy is humming along in good shape, so why worry about world affairs?
All that is soon going to CHANGE!    All that is soon going to CHANGE!  For in the lives of millions in formerly placid areas of America, Canada and Britain, things will never be the same. I tell you on the authority of the Living GOD that the lives of American and British-descended peoples around the world will experience a massive upheaval such as most have never dreamed!” (“A Turning Point in World Affairs
As Jesus Christ warned, and as God’s faithful servants continue to warn, our world faces near-annihilation, and only Christ’s return will save us from complete destruction during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-31).
Our nations continue to reject God, so we continue to careen toward destruction.  And, while we know that Christ will return as a very real King to establish His wonderful and peaceful Kingdom economic destruction…and much worse.

1 Thessalonians  4:16,

   Revelation      11:15

it seems that before then, we are careening toward economic destruction…and much worse.          Government stimulus programs may yield momentary relief, but our economy and our very society is in mortal peril!     Here’s the fundamental problem: How much money can a society borrow before it begins to have negative effects on our ability to borrow any more?... When you get to the point that people won’t loan you any more money as a government, you’ve got a horrendous problem...This financial crisis in retrospect will look like a child’s game compared to what we’re headed into when we have to begin raising enormous amounts of money through floating debt, or reneging on the obligations we made to people.

I tell you on the authority of the Living GOD....

Really? Can you proove this? Do you truly arrogate to yourself the ability to speak for God?

I have a better idea: go stand in front of your mirror and ask your image what is wrong with your mind.

When answering this question you must look at the whole picture.  Let me break this down for you.   In Matthew 24:1-4 this section forms Jesus last major discourse and His most prophetic and apocalypic message of the coming of the end of the world or the present age.  While the message includes a prediciton of the imminent fall of Jerusalem, it also goes far beyond to point us to the distant future during which the "times of the Gentiles" will continue until the end of the Great Tribulation.  When Jesus left the city and crossed the Kidron Valley and went east of Jerusalem to the Mt. of Olives, it was there where his disciples asked three questions: (1) When shall these things be? (the destruction of the temple); (2) What shall be the sign of thy coming?; (3) and of the end of the world?.  5-14 refers to the parade of false messiahs who have now spanned the centuries of church history and have led many astray into false religious cults (sound familar?).  Wars and rumors of wars refer to peace being taken from the earth and the constant wars that have continually mark the Age of the Gentiles.  Famines, and pestilences: these events mark only the beginning of sorrows, this is followed by martyrdom and the rise of false prophets and the abounding iniquity.  There is more and I recommend that you get a very good study Bible that helps you to understand its context more deeply.  I am however going to elaborate on vs. 21-31.  In no other period of history (past or future) of the world will there be so much suffering and universal destruction as during the seven years called the Great Tribulation.  Three years are fraught with wrath (Ezekiel. 7:19), judgement (Revelation. 14:7; 15:4; 16:5,7), darkness (Joel 2:2; Amos 5:18), trouble (Jeremiah 30:7, suffering (Isaiah 24:20-21), desolation (Daniel 9:27), gloominess (Amos 5:18, 20), indignation (Isaiah 26:20, 21; 34:1-3) and sorrow.  During the Great Tribulation God will pour out His wrath on mankind and will judge all of creation, just before the peace of the Milennium is ushered in.  It is time for all christians to understand or realize what actually awaits the unsaved following the Rapture and we should do everything to motivate every believer to win souls before it is too late.  Read Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:21 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3-9.  29- 31 refers to the events immediately after the tribulation, such as the sun being darkened and the stars falling.  His return will be marked by the sign of the Son of man in heaven, which will identify His coming to the tribes of the earth.  The clouds of heaven indicate that Christ will come from heaven to the earth (Daniel 7:13, 14; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).  The angels are the same agents of judgement as in Mattjew 13:39.  The elect are the saved who have come to faith in Christ by the grace of God and are gladly anticipating their Lord's return.  Also in v. 33 it talks about when we see these signs that we ought to know that the time is near and very close at hand.  Signs are indications that Christ is about to return to earth.  Technically they refer to the revelation of Christ, and not the Rapture.  There are obvious signs during the seven year Tribulation before the revelation, but there are no signs that precede the Rapture.  However, there are conditions that suggest the Rapture will happen soon.  No person will ever know the time or the date of Christ's return until He comes.  Yet there are things that are happening in the world today that suggest that His return is near.  For instance: Israel's return to the Promised Land; the obvious accelerations of lawlessness; increase in apostasy (1 Timothy 4:1); the socio-religious climate preparing for one world church; and the rapid increase of life-threatening conditions- such as potential atomic annihilation, population explosion, and pollution- that require Christ's return before events run their natural course and terminate the world.  Paul listed certain conditions which, though true in every age, appear to be more prevalent today (2Timothy 3:1-5).  Read Jude 14; Matthew 24:33 and Matthew 13:52.  I hope some of this has helped you.  Remember to keep watch at all times, for we don't know the time or the day or the moment as to when our Lord and Savior will return.  It is good to be ready.
