Our 20 year term life insurance just auto renewed ...

Our 20 year  term life insurance just auto renewed, at this point it is minimal coverage and maximum premium.  Can you direct me to a low cost term life insurance company?

There are several leading life insurance companies you can request quotes from to compare prices for term life insurance. You can review this list of Top Term Life Insurance Companies to review some options.

Make sure you compare guaranteed level term life insurance plans providing rates and coverage that remain the same for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years. Review the AM Best Company financial ratings of the insurers, they will be shown with your quotes.

Some leading term life insurance providers are Liberty Life, Banner Life, Prudential and West Coast Life, among others.

Auto-renewing is generally a bad idea, as you noticed, the rates become much less appealing. If you're looking for term life insurance check out these three sites, which will all give you quotes from a wide selection of companies: SelectQuote.com, ReliaQuote.com and Insurance.com.

You can also contact your current life insurance carrier and see if they offer a term conversion.  A term conversion allows you to get into a permanent policy without being subject to underwriting.  It will be based on your current age only.  If you need to increase the limit of coverage then you would be subject to the company's underwriting guidelines.  I generally suggest to my clients that purchasing permanent insurance is more economical in the end versus term insurance.

I would suggest getting multiple quotes to compare side by side.  Either by going individually to each company or going to a site that offers multiple 20 year term life insurance quotes from a single form.

The SLC took over student loan processing duties from local authorities this year and, evidently, wasn't prepared for the task. Overdraft fees ruled legal in England

Filed under: Banks It's probably not something that most Americans are following, but in England, the Supreme Court has been studying the legality of bank overdraft fees and whether the public should be refunded, and their verdict is in: the overdraft fees that have been soaking the British are legal. Two courts had previously indicated that English banks might have to refund their fees, and I admit the thought made me rather gleeful, and last September in a WalletPop post , I started wondering if some similar lawsuit might make its way through the American courts.
