When trying to install Win XP SP2 the installation got stuck...

When trying to install Win XP SP2 on a new computer, after the format the system restarts (as a part of the installation) and then stuck on the windows start screen and the installation does not continue... When trying to install on the same computer Win XP SP1 everything is fine. What can be the problem???

It's a possibility that the installation media is damaged.

its from your cd.you have to change your cd.my windows cd  was like this and i changed it.

Change your CD of Win XP SP2 and try with other SP2 disk. this may be that some files of the Windows is missing or courpt.
