Here is a conversation that took place in the house at 9:00AM:
Mom “You know if you watch what you spend you will have enough to for your insurance”
Stacy: “Are you including the 99 cent store”
Mom: “I am including everything”
Stacy: “You know you go back and forth with that”
Mom “If you have the money you can buy what you want. When you went into Kohl’s you did not have to buy three pairs of pants”
Stacy: :Well I brought three pairs for the price of one and you saw when we went back they did not have any of that brand in any of the colors”
Mom: “You would have gotten something else at another time”
About an hour later when they are in the car:
Stacy: “Are you including the 99 cent store”
Mom: “I don’t care what you do or what you spend your money on, all I am saying is watch how much you spend”
Then at dinner when they were having dessert:
Mom: “I really like this ice cream, I never had this brand before”
Stacy: “Then buy it again”
Mom: “I don’t have to stock up on it. I can buy it when I need it”
Stacy: “I wanted those three pairs of pants. Mom ok lets say I go into the 99 cent store and I see 1 or two blouses are you telling me I should not buy it”
Mom:” If you see one or two that is ok, but if you see 20 blouses that is 20 dollars”
Stacy: “I don’t buy 20, but what about if I see three blouses”
Mom: “That is up to you. I mean if you love those blouses then yes. However, if you are not sure than no.”
