It sounds like this might just be a cute attribute.  On the other hand, there could be a problem and I think you need to get it checked out by a vet to be sure.  Puppies need to be checked out very carefully by vets to be sure that they get everything they need for a healthy life.  Good luck and enjoy your puppy.  I'm sure he/she's adorable.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

I had the same problem with my Germam Shepheard.  I went to the vet and he said the dog is not 100% pedegree (I had all the documents !) and that I can do nothing to fix it.  My dog (Tiger) happend 2B a GR8 dog......  In fact the greatest and smartest I have ever had ! (With this one ear falling, from time to time, down).....  We use to laugh at him about it......
Best regards, enjoy your best friend.

absolutely nothing!  I find it adorable when a dog has one ear up and one ear down.  most people find it cute.  why do you feel the need to do something?  the ear will probably go up on its own, eventually.  But even if it doesnt, there is no need to do anything.  As long as your dog is happy and healthy it is great! (PS my akita has one ear up and one down, and people stop me all the time to tell me how cute it is!)

PS do not dock or have your dog's ears cut.  it is inhumane and unnecessary.

30 thumbs up

70 days isn't enough to determine if there is a problem. The dogs ears will straighten up eventually try not to touch them as much though after a year or so you'll see.

2 thumbs up

When a puppy is teething, the ears will do that! It's nothing to worry about! Once the puppy stops teething, the ears usually stand up on their own.
