The influence of celebrities diets on us...

Beyonce was reported using an all liquid diet to lose weight but then reported afterwards that she set a bad example and she doesn't recommend it to anyone. Isn't she contradicting herself? Are celebrities just there to make us question our looks and out bodies? Would we be better off in a world without these negative influences?

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. - coco chanel

I don't think she was contradicting herself because at the time people probably told her it was ok and she wasn't truly aware of the effect it would have on her and the people around her.  Celebrities aren't there to make us question our looks and bodies.  The only reason we think that is because we let them do that to us.  We see a picture of a celeb in a magizine and think "why can't I look like that?"  We are doing this to ourselves.  And its not just celebs that seem to make us question ourselves we see other women around us and think the same thing. Celebs aren't protraying negative influences on purpose we, just make it seem like they are because we are insecure with ourselves.

The focus is who we are on the inside that is important. Why focus on a celibrity or anyone elses look. The celebrities have a job to do and that is to be in the spotlight they are bidded out by there looks for contract work. It is nice to dress up but you also have to be comfortable with yourself .
