I'm assuming that you have an O2 before and after the cat.  If you install a high flow cat it may not satisfy your computer.  If the O2 sensor doesn't read the gases it's suppose to it will keep popping the check engine light.  I don't think reprogramming the computer will work either.  There will be no manufacture code that will let you bypass emission standards.  I would do the O2 simulator.
