Does the iPhone have FCC approval?

Anyone knows if the recently announced

Apple iPhone already received FCC approval? If not, could it delay Apple in getting this to market?".

I saw a comment about this in

this report, and then checked myself the Apple web site… see the bottom of the iPhone page on Apple.com – "This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.". So I assume that the answer at this point is no, it does not have FCC approval yet. I wonder if this could cause any delays!

When Steve Jobs announced the iPhone, he clearly stated they did not have FCC approval. That's why the release date is not until June. It's possible that the FCC could delay this even further, but Apple has bigger issues to deal with -

like the name.
