A Medical Supply Company knowingly sold me a vehicle wheelchair lift that would not work in combination with my vehicle and my power chair. This Medical Supply Company refuses to address my concerns or work with me toward any resolution. On the Internet (which I did not notice until recently) there is now a 10 day warranty on their products. This does not even give me enough time to find someone to install the wheelchair lift into my vehicle. It was approx a month after the lift was installed that I called the company and started to cry to them; that I could not find anyone to install the lift for $150 as they told me I could. I told them I wanted a full refund of the purchase and cost of this unit and all the accessories that I purchased to get that lift. I personally feel since the Discount Medical Supply mislead me they can make arrangements to have the lift removed from my vehicle and get the unit off my property themselves.
After 6 months still in the parcel boxes the company final decided to help me and found someone that would do it for $300.00. After the unit was installed then when a whole new set of problems started. I was not able to get the wheelchair into the vehicle.
The salesman told me that that the wheelchair lift has a control box that reaches up to the drivers set and I can bring the chair in and out of my vehicle. Which is not true? This lift has to be properly supervised, otherwise; your vehicle will be trashed in a year. Credit Card Company says I should have sent back the lift as soon as I knew I did not want it.
I need to know what I can do to get this company to give me my money back (insurance co). The salesman lied to me about everything about this lift. He sold it to me on false pretenses.
Please Help!! Thank You!!
