My hot water tank fell over and hit the ground. Is it damaged or can I still use it?

We removed a 3 year old hot water tank for salvage, and planned to install it at another house. While draining it (tilted), my water tank accidentally fell over and hit the ground leaving a 5 inch dent on the top rim of the tank. Is this damaged or can I still use it?? How can I determine if the glass liner has been damaged??
