How hot can borage oil get and still be good?

I received an order of borage oil from UPS today; they had left in on my porch in the sun; I am in Louisiana. The capsules were very warm and squishy, but had not leaked out. I put it in the refridgerator immediately. Is it still good? What temp is too high for it to still be good? I called the company that mailed it and they were very vague and seemed unable to answer my queation, other than to tell me the capsules did not need to be refridgerated and could be stored at room temp. I questioned them about their mailing it in a plastic bag vs. a cardboard box; I am wondering how long it stayed this hot in the back of the UPS truck.

anything goes

If the capsules have not melted then they will be fine to consume.  It would take extreme high temperatures to spoil borage oil.

I know flax seed oil, when heated, can become not only rancid, but turn into transfats.  Not only does it lose its good proprties, but it becomes "bad for you."

I fear the borage oil may be the same.  The company says "refridgerate after opening" and not to "expose to high temperatures."  This makes me suspicious that, at the least, that the capsules will be worthless; at the worst, they may have gotten hot enough to become trans fats.
