Almost no hope and need some help!

I have a friend with a 12yr. old girl who became ill almost overnight. she had a backache, incontenance, & dizzyness. By the time they got her to the hospital, she was almost unconsious and that has now been the state for literally 8 weeks. The doctors say she is 1 in 400 million that is not responding to the different treatments they have put her through. They have done high doses of steriods, plasma ferises, chemo, and yet another plasma treatment that required 2,000 donors for one treatment. She has just had a brain biopsy and no results as of yet. Now they are talkin g about chemo again. Trying to stop her immune system from attaching her brain as they call it. They are also discussing hyperbaric chambers as an idea. Her hand and feet are getting almost deformed. They have tested for lymes, and west nile as well as many tests that the typical medical industry thinks of. I am looking for someone out there who may at some time in their life have had something similiar and have had new ideas of things to test for... any new ideas would be fantastic and anything would be appreciated???
