You can buy the

heater itself for 1500$ (give or take), while installation should cost around 250-300$.

gas $1300.00  elect $1100.00

Crazy, the cost of a 75 gal water heater should be from $600 to 2500.

Installation $100 if it is a replacement. More you are getting rip-off.
