I have a Aloe Vera plant growing in my yard. I usually pick a leaf and cut it in two and rub the liquid from inside on the bites.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

Not exactly an answer to your question but only this year I found that a vintelator (at the celling) prevent the mosquito from coming to you and you enjoy a nice plesant night.  The ventilator can be sett on minimum speed !.  Why treat after, better avoid it....
Best regards,

I enjoy using Yedda to ask and answer medical questions. I previously worked as a nurse but am now based from home - having just completed a long spell of breast cancer treatment.

Life has also been busy lately after the arrival of our new puppy called poppy. She's a black labarador retriever and drives us all crazy at times but we just adore the buzz she brings to the house. Last week she caused me a shoulder injury by tugging when out walking - but I can forgive that for the fun she brings.

Last month my husband invested in the Resperate device for lower blood pressure - and boy is it effective? We've discovered that it's much better overall to lower blood pressure naturally.

I've heard that a weak solution of dilated bicarbonate of soda is helpful

One large teaspoonful in a pint of warm water and then dab onto the spots

A very effective natural remedy for mosquito bites is Manu Manuka and Tea Tree cream, it will take down the swelling, reduce the itchiness, prevent the bite becoming infected and help to prevent further bites. It is great stuff and available from Manu Nutraceuticals on-line.

Best way to handle this so the problem does not exist is to make sure all items which hold standing water in the yard and around the home be turned over and water removed. Mosquitos breed in water outdoors. Get rid of the standing water and you don't have the problem. Something we always tell people with bites is to simply take your fingernail and make a cross pattern in the bite area. You will need to push down to create an indent in the bite. It has to be a cross pattern. No more itch! Try it it really works
