The bottom of my house which is wood pressure ...

the bottom of my house which is wood pressure treated has rotten in several places very bad. Some places light the front going off to the pool has stone. My question is can we use fake stone where cut the rotten wood off rather than do it as before and cut it off and add new wood and re paint the house. Would it cost a lot more..thank you
