What if you have laminated floors (Pergo) and the floor makes a crackling noise when you walk on them? Becky in VA.
It could be a few things, this is probably installation related. Check for proper expansion, floor flatness, it could be moisture related, or the joints my not been staggered correctly. I'd file a claim with the installer.
