Hi Eric! The hot hot water heater in our home is located in a closet in the kitchen.Even so, it still takes very long for the hot water to come out of the kitchen faucet. What is your take on a recirulating pump. P.S.the water heater is brand new. Sincerely, Victoria

Based on that video which had a bunch of incorrect info I would not seek advice from Eric. As for your question regarding your water heater. Yes a recirculating pump will help you with your problem. Age of the water heater has nothing to do with the problem your having unless your hot water your getting out of it isn't lasting long enough. Just make sure you get the pump that comes with the bypass fitting that is installed under the sink or fixture that is furthest away from the water heater. This will allow the water that has cooled down in the hot water line to circulate back into the cold water line and continue to keep that hot water right at your fixture and you will no longer have to wait for hot water and more importantly waste water that most likely you have to pay for.
