I have my carpets professionally cleaner twice a ...

I have my carpets professionally cleaner twice a year. Scotchguard is also put on the carpet after cleaning. Somehow, spot cleaning is needed in the heavy traffic areas before it is time to clean the carpet again. How can I clean the traffic areas before it is time to clean the floors again? The scotchguard doesn't appear to do the job.
