Ask Eric Stromer a question here. I had a water leak from the sink on the 2nd floor. Now I have a stain on the popcorn ceiling and some of the popcorn fell off.  I dont want to paint the whole ceiling because it is open to the family room living room and kitchen.  the ceiling was painted 4 years ago and it still looks good.  what can I do about the stain and some of the popcorn that fell off.

If it's just a stain you can prime it with a Pigmented Shellac (spray can) and then spray it white from a can also. If you try to roll it or brush it you might have it fall down.
