Ask Eric Stromer a question here.
I just replaced my kitchen sink main water valves. The hot and the cold valves are connected to copper pipes coming into the house. My problem is a slight water leak at the connector nut to the adjoining handle. I am afraid to over tighten this nut because of the copper. I am afraid if I over tighten the nut I may cause more damage or damage behind the wall. Is there any thing I can use to fix this slight leak? Does plumbers putty work?
Thanks,Toni
