does cpvc cement work on pvc pipe?
I believe the answer is yes. To confirm, take two piecs of scrap PVC and stick them together using that cement.

No you can NOT use CPVC cement for PVC. For best rersults Make sure the solvent cement you want to use has the type of plastic you intend to use listed on the label.
