If it has been connected all this time then it maybe your problem. if unhooked then maybe dirt in line . does it have pilots or electronic ingition. this makes a difference.if electronic does the ignitor light up, is it pluged in ? if pilot is the pilot touching the wire above it ( the thermal couple), is it natural or butane? the safety is below the burner Hope this helps. Electronic ignitors are about 60.00 or more , the safty could be as high as 150.00 Hard to give correct answer without more info.
