We bought a cabin by the lake last summer that has all paneling on the interior. We are going to put sheet rock up for the kitchen/living room &  family room but I was thinking about just painting over the paneling in the two bedrooms. Do you have suggestions as to the best way to coat the wood paneling? Also...do you have any recommendation as to colors for the interior of our cabin? I would like to keep a "beach" theme throughout. Thanks!

If you clean it real well, and sand it afterwards, you can just paint right over it.

When you say "beach" the colors which first come to my mind are aqua, and a light tan, like the color of a white sand beach.
