are there any recipies that are for whole turkeys cooked on the stove top

I have never cooked a turkey on the stovetop, but there are people out there that have! Here is a good looking recipe for cooking the turkey on the stove, but remember that you have to have a pot big enough to put the turkey in and still have enough room to simmer water- it would have to be a pretty small turkey.

I think that you're better off using the oven... if you want someting simple and good.

I don't know a little about everything, but I do know a lot about some things!

I've never known anyone to cook a whole turkey on the stovetop (but that doesn't mean it can't be done). Can I ask why you would prefer a stovetop to an oven?

I can only see that your method would need constant watching, and part immersion in some kind of liquid to keep the bottom from burning. I lean towards "deadhead"s" advice about using the oven, especially if your bird is stuffed. Good luck!
