H E L P !   I'm a fairly intelligent person, who wants DESPERATELY to join MENSA, the international Hi-IQ society.  (I may be one of the VERY few people who wants to join so I can meet people more intelligent than I am!)  Anyway, I sent away for a MENSA pre-test, and I think I answered MOST of the questions in the first half correctly! : )  However, when I came to the SECOND half of the test, I just sat there and stared, like a deer, in the dark, who suddenly is confronted by automobile headlights!

ALL THE QUESTIONS ON THE SECOND HALF OF THE TEST DEALT WITH 'SEQUENTIAL MATHEMATICS'....you know, series of numbers like:

" 2, 10, 27, 59....WHAT NUMBER COMES NEXT?"  For the life of me, I can't figure this out...nor can I find a book on Sequential Mathematics that I can understand!

Does anyone know of a book, (or Windows Vista compatible software), or DVD, etc, which will EASILY teach me sequential mathematics?  Sometimes, (like Princess Diana), I really feel "thick as a plank", despite the fact that others say I'm somewhat intelligent.  Learning Sequential Math seems the ONLY way I can have even a chance of entering MENSA.  I've even called MENSA up, and asked them what book, software and/or DVD I could use.  They had NO suggestions!  Can Anyone help me with this, please?????

Go to Amazon.com and type in MENSA.  You will find a million study books.  Why you would want to be with a bunch of pretentious snobs is beyond me.  Go and take some college courses.  You will meet intelligent people who are not full of themselves there and you will be able to learn from them.

There are some different places where you can get MENSA guides to study you can take free tests and also there are some good books you can read as well. Good luck with getting in!
