This isn't the best age to be thinking about elective surgery of this nature. If you have tolerated it for this long, don't you think you could tolerate a few more years? Surgery at any age carries risks. Being a non-invasive surgery it carries fewer risks, but still there are some involved. It also depends a lot on your general health. If you are in pretty good shape, no blood pressure problems, no clotting problems, no underlying heart problems, no respiratory problems, and the your doctor gives the ok, then if it something you feel will improve the quality of your life, by all means do it. Bear in mind, that your healing time will be somewhat longer than if you were 20 or 25 years younger. And being older you are slightly more at risk for infection. AND PLEASE if you are seriously thinking about doing this find a qualified board certified, plastic surgeon. Ask to see pictures of work he's done, and make sure he has done many. Do not shop around for a cheaper doctor just to save a few dollars, check him out to make sure he hasn't had any malpractice suits filed against him. In other words do your homework, ask plenty of questions, and if for any reason you feel hesitant, don't do it. But if you find a reputable doctor, you feel very comfortable with, who checks out and specializes in the area of breast reduction you desire, I'd say go for it. Good luck, and hope everything turns the way you want, should you decide to go through with it.
