I have a hermaphrodite male(?) cockatiel who laid an egg.

I have a male cockatiel that laid an egg. That makes him an hermaphrodite. How can I understand him, his ways, and his problems? HOw can I learn more about birds like him?

He is causing problems because he is chasing my injured female. He may be wanting to breed her, or he may be harrassing her, protecting his egg.
