A:

Hemorrhoids only occur in the anal region - enlarged, dilated veins of the hemorrhoid plexuses. The veins in this area of your body are quite flexible and stretchable to coexist with the bowel expanding and contracting.  This is why a hemorrhoid can only occur in this area of the body - no other veins in the body can stretch as much and become so huge when pressurized with blood. The hemorrhoid, as such, develops when one of the weakened veins expands under pressure - such as when straining on the toilet.

The most obvious symptom of Hemorrhoids is that they are often felt and seen (for example, by using a mirror) as a tiny lump of grapes arising from the anus. The size, shape and number of hemorrhoids vary from one person to another.

There are various ways to deal with hemorrhoids, such as: sitz bath, hemorrhoids cushions and pillows, hemorrhoids cream, hemorrhoids suppositories. The type of treatment depends on the type of hemorrhoids and the severity of it. So have an overview of all these ways so that you can find out what best suites you.
