I'll explain what hemorrhoids look like, give a description of hemorrhoid symptoms, include some home remedies for hemorrhoid relief and I will include a link further down the page that has information about a natural hemorrhoid cure.

Actually, everyone has internal hemorrhoids, and Most people will get aggravated hemorrhoids at some or another stage of their lives.

Aggravated hemorrhoids can be both internal (upper part of the anal canal, lower part of the rectum) and external. Hemorrhoids are basically swollen or distended veins in the lower rectal or anal area. What do hemorrhoids look like ? One or many tiny flat grape-like lumps.

Some causes of hemorrhoids can be:

  • sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • engaging in anal intercourse
  • long-term diarrhea or constipation
  • Not exercising regularly
  • pressure from lifting heavy objects
  • eating incorrectly
  • forcing bowel movements
  • strain during pregnancy

Description of hemorrhoid symptoms :

  • Bleeding on your tissue after clearing the bowels,
  • Blood in the feces or on the toilet bowl,
  • Anal itching, burning and / or pain.
  • You may be able to feel a sensitive lump of swollen tissue by the anus.

Some home remedies for hemorrhoid relief (Physicians recommend home treatments in all but the most severe cases):

  • Reduce swelling by using ice packs for 5-10 minute a few times a day, and soak in warm water several times a day.
  • Don't force bowel movements, and do not strain when clearing the bowels
  • After bowel movements thoroughly pat the anal area (do not rub) with medicated pads or damp toilet paper. Do not use strong cleansing products, dilute cleansing products with water.
  • Petroleum jelly and topical creams can help to prevent mucous from irritating the hemorrhoid
  • Loose fitting clothing and cotton underwear will be less irritable
  • Stool softening pills or water soluble fiber supplements will create easier bowel movements
  • and of course eat healthier fiber based diets.

To prevent hemorrhoids from reoccurring you should make some lifestyle changes with regards to both eating and exercising. Increase fiber and water intake, and this will naturally help and ease bowel movements.

Remember : Many of the over the counter hemorrhoid medications contain harsh chemicals that can often worsen the condition, especially with long term use. And  pain relievers should Never be used for long periods.

Many believe that surgery is a permanent relief from hemorrhoids, but they have a nasty habit of recurring after surgery. Also surgery is unpleasant, and I hate to say it, a painful process to go through. Surgery can also permanently damage tissue, and weaken bladder and bowel control.

For a safe natural cure for hemorrhoids I suggest you visit H Miracle - safe natural cure for hemorrhoids where you will find some excellent advice on how to cure hemorrhoids safely and quickly (48 hours).

I hope I have helped with your question "what do hemorrhoids look like" and I wish you all the best for the future.

Hemorrhoids only occur in the anal region - enlarged, dilated veins of the hemorrhoid plexuses. The veins in this area of your body are quite flexible and stretchable to coexist with the bowel expanding and contracting.  This is why a hemorrhoid can only occur in this area of the body - no other veins in the body can stretch as much and become so huge when pressurized with blood. The hemorrhoid, as such, develops when one of the weakened veins expands under pressure - such as when straining on the toilet.

The most obvious symptom of Hemorrhoids is that they are often felt and seen (for example, by using a mirror) as a tiny lump of grapes arising from the anus. The size, shape and number of hemorrhoids vary from one person to another.

There are various ways to deal with hemorrhoids, such as: sitz bath, hemorrhoids cushions and pillows, hemorrhoids cream, hemorrhoids suppositories. The type of treatment depends on the type of hemorrhoids and the severity of it. So have an overview of all these ways so that you can find out what best suites you.

Hemroids Information guide

Some of the symptoms of hemroids are not easy to observe on one's own because they are in a place which cannot be viewed the individual himself or herself. However there are some signs that are easily observable by the naked eye and upon which a preliminary diagnosis of hemroids can be based. These include:

  • Blood stained stool.
  • Itching and inflammation.
  • Prolapsed anal tissue.
  • Swelling inside or around the anus opening.

Swelling inside or around the anus opening
A person with swollen veins inside the anus due to accumulation of pressure and heat almost always suffers from one form of hemroids or the other. The swelling therein obstructs stool from being excreted completely and causes a lot of pain when stool tries to force its way through.
Much as these are the common symptoms of hemroids, they are not the final proof that you are suffering from hemroids, because there are other diseases or health conditions that also present with the same type of symptoms as those described here. Your doctor or health practitioner is the best person to ascertain that what you have is indeed hemroids, and this is done after proper examination and diagnosis has been carried out.
