My former foster daughter is on parole. She committed a horrible crime. Her crime was the only one she ever committed. Prior to her getting to the foster care system she was abused in unspeakabe ways. She in turn (supposedly) molested her own child, for which crime she plead guilty and served six years in prison. When she was in my care, she often admitted to doing terrible things that she did not do. She may or may not have committed the molestation crime. In either case, she will pay the price for the rest of her life. As you know, society will treat her much worse than if she had murdered someone. Right now she is on parole in California. She is sick. Her kidneys are barely functioning. The parole board is paying for her rent in a group home, as well as for her medical, and she will get food stamps. However, she has no money, no clothing and no adequate eye glasses. I was wondering if there were anyway she could be give eyeglass frames. It appears the lenses are covered, but not the frames. Please help in any way you can. This girl has suffered greatly in her life from the beginning with an unbelievably abusive mother then through a calous foster care system and finally thown out on the street alone and with no one to care for her.
