What should I do? Please help a dilema!

I have a situation. My and my ex boyfriend was together for 5 years and I have a son whose he been in his life since the age 2 whose now 9 years old. Me and my ex boyfriend has been broke up now for 2 years. But we both moved on with our lives, I have a boyfriend and he have a girlfriend. My ex boyfriend still have a relationship with my son. He loves him more than you can imagine. I received some disturbing news today that my ex boyfriend was shot eight times. Hes in ICU thats pretty much all I know. I contacted his momma and she told me that much when I asked her what hospital is he at she stated that she wasnt revealing any of that information only to family. Me and my ex boyfriend did not break up on bad terms we still remain friends. Like I stated up above he do have a girlfriend and they have a 1 year old together. Is the mom trying to protect her feelings but how is that she know about me as well. She know that we still conversate from time to time she be right there when he call me and check on me and my son. His mom was diagnosed with cancer and he called and informed me. She didnt deny me from coming to check on her and calling her. My stomach is turning what should I do?

Call the local hospitals and ask patient information if he is there.  Some hospitals will tell you, some won't.  Or, you can make the rounds and ask, telling them that you are family and someone told you he was there.

Yes, I would call all the local hospitals to find out which one he is in.  However, I would check with him, if able, and the girlfriend before showing up to visit.  If the new girlfriend does not want you there, then you should respect her wishes, and offer to let a 3rd party take your son to visit him in the hospital.

Good luck!
