Dear Ms. Opra Winfrey, I am a concerned mother and loving mother. My daughter is 22 yrs old and she is very talented and intelligent. Lately her life has been put on hold due to diabetes and an illness called gastroparesis. She is sick all of the time. She practically lives in the hospital. Her primary care physician and other doctors and specialist has requested that she need a stomach pacer in order to sustain her life. She is on SSI medicaid in the state of Arkansas. Unfortunately, the medicaid will not pay for her to have this surgical procedure regardless of our many failed attempts. We have contacted our State Senators office and still no results. They even suggested that we try moving to another state whose medicaid will pay. We are not financially able to just pack up and move like that or else I would gladly pay for the procedure myself. Will you please help my child? There has to be some kind of strings you can pull. My daughters life is in jeopardy. We need your assistance. WILL YOU PLEASE HELP BRITTANY????
