I have been trying to get my congress rep's (and yours) to pass a resolution (HR 2702 the suspend Brazil GSP act) to aid in returning kidnapped American child Sean Goldman home to his father David Goldman. I have either had no response or auto generated replies. Visit www.bringseanhome.org to help me and other concerned citizens bring this child and over 60 others held in Brazil.
Your best option is to continue writing your congressmen. Inundate them with emails, faxes, phone calls and letters. They are being read, if only by assistants and if enough assistants read them, the message will be given to the congressmen.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.

Thanks Jake ! I have been calling and e-mailing for 2 months now. I finally have begun asking for a meeting with my Congressman and may move up to my Senator regarding HR2702 and HR3420! Its frustrating how our government refuses to get this American son home. I am saddened as an American citizen how little our country acted, but we moved swiftly (and rightly so) to return the Gonzales child back to his father in Chile. Where is David Goldman's show of force on his behalf? Brazil can kidnap American children (over 60) and suffer no consequences...its just wrong
